All original 1970 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe with a weight of only 3,93 kg! This is the lightest of the '68-'70 Goldtops that I've seen. Stunning piece of history right here. 54-year old bombshell with absolutely no weather-checking or any sign of green oxidation on the gold nitro finish. The original frets still have plenty of life in them and the guitar plays like butter with zero fretbuzz. Original early Pat.No. sticker Mini Humbuckers that sound percussive yet creamy. All-original chrome hardware and plastics. No breaks / cracks / repairs or any finish touch-ups anywhere on the guitar. Original electronics with Sprague Black Beauty capacitors and pots dated 137.70.40. The neck has an insanely lovable taper starting out medium-slim at the first couple of frets then getting more and more chunky as going higher up on the fretboard. These 1970 GT's still had the medium neck tenon joint which is basically the same that you find on the '52-'60 Golden Year models but with a shorter "lip" in the neck pickup cavity. This example sports a beautiful dark long grain rosewood fretboard with a little bit of reddish hue. Absolutely gorgeous.
The guitar has the typical woody acoustic voice that is naturally resonant with a great attack on the low strings and zero muddiness. Like a very fat Tele!
The original hardshell case is in a little ragged but fairly good condition overall with all of the latches working nice and securely.
